Interview with the developers of a crazy action puzzle game with a quirky gimmick mechanic. Print out templates from the game, draw your input on them and then “scan” them back in via the webcam to have them rendered and playable in 3D. Watch the video.
Seems like a good idea. Using Google’s App Engine as an image host, with uploading and resizing support. Reduces the work involved in getting images up on a home-rolled blog.
Fun, short, escape the room game, without the usual guesswork and “hunt the pixel” nonsense. By the “Majesty of Colours” guy.
Robbery is not just another way of making a living, rape is not just another way of satisfying basic human needs, torture is not just another way of interrogation. And XML is not just another way of writing S-exps.
Good idea for an interview series from the people behind Ajaxian, and a great first choice of interviewee in Brendan Eich. Hope the have more interesting people of that caliber lined-up.
Experimental Cthulhu mythos flash game in an 8-bit style. In a similar vein to Daniel Benmergul’s “I wish I were the Moon” and “Storyteller” game/vignettes. Try multiple playthroughs to see the different endings.
Annotated slideshow on the Perlin noise function. “Think of it as seasoning”. Created as a reaction to working on the intentionally mechanistic-looking flat textures of Tron.
Was just looking up RoboCop on IMDB after watching the awesome rap and found this! Darren Aronofsky set to do a remake? omgwtfbbq??!
A nice selection of three Textmate add-ons to try. Particularly like the look of “Ack in Project”, ack is great and Textmate’s Find in Project, um… isn’t.
Interesting flash puzzle game. Bend light into a path to fill up a set of sound meters. Light beam is quite loose and fluid so it’s sometimes quite difficult to see what is and isn’t going to work.
