On the eve of Gamecube's home release Capcom have announced that their Biohazard / Resident Evil series will be exclusive to Nintendo's console from now on. Having said that I'm not sure how exclusive an exclusive can be when the majority of the titles already exist on other consoles? This move should certainly garner some support from the die hard Biohazard heads in Japan, and add to Nintendo's argument that Gamecube is not just for kids..
On a similar subject pocket.IGN have just given Advance Wars for Gameboy Advance an impressive 9.9 out of 10 and an Editors Choice Award, looks like one to add to your collection..

I have to admit I'm not a huge fan of the Resident Evil games, but this looks incredible, they've totally redone the game and its looking extremely realistic..

It does look lush but I don't think any of my qualms of the Resident Evil series will have been fixed. It's not so scary: jumpy maybe, but never psychologically scary like Silent Hill. I guess the lighting may improve the situation somewhat, and they could probably work on the sound too but I'm not getting too excited about it. Personally I would have been more impressed if they announced an extra launch game, but there you go.

The comparison shots are quite interesting, from the perspective of how far the next generation has come. It'd be nice to have one game series that had run right from 8bit to now that you could do a piece like this on and show how each generation had changed from the last, I suppose mario or zelda might work, but it'd be nicer if they were closer in a way. Like id software's games from Wolfenstein to Q3 show the progression of fps really nicely.
