Gamespy.com's feature on the "Top 50 Games of All Time", errm, strikes me as just a little PC centric and biased.. Only one console game in the Top 10 surrounded by 9 RTS or FPS titles?!?! 2 Ultima games in there!?!? is Starcraft really better than Zelda?!?! Says a lot about the American develpoment community.. And how do they have Richard Garriot heaping praise on his own games?

Why are these top 50s always so far away from the truth (except in 'Edge')?
Here's one part that sums up this gamespy fiasco:
Number 19: Tetris
Scott Miller, 3DRealms: "Tetris is the most perfectly pure computer game ever made. It appeals to both genders equally, is simple to understand but nearly impossible to master, it doesn't rely on graphics technology, and it's appeal is timeless and ongoing. It's probably the most played computer game ever."
Hmm, clearly... that's why it's only number 19 in this list then?
And any chart that makes Doom number one, just because it was (supposedly) the first in a genre, clearly does not deserve to be taken seriously. Just because it was the first doesn't mean it's the best.

And being American of course there's no mention of Spectrum or BBc classics like Elite or Jet Set Willy..

Have you noticed too how a lot of the developers list's contain relatively good choice's but the final list appears to have been overruled by the web journo's at gamespy. Kind of defeats the purpose..
