Is it just me but does he stub his toe as he comes round the front of the podium and then try to cover up by doing even more stompy dancing..

Haha :) Yeah I thought that too..
I've watched it about 5 or 6 times already and it's made me laugh every time. The dulcet tones of Gloria Estefan add a certain something, and I like his howling-monkey pointy thing too. Maybe it was some Planet of the Apes promotional tie-in.
