In the run-up to the release of Peekabooty, the Cult of the Dead Cow have released two statements in order to clarify their position and announce the inaugration of their Hacktivismo offshoot. Scary to think that the future use of the internet is being defined by ill-informed governments behind closed doors, and for the most part without the publics knowledge. And reassuring to know that groups like cDc aren't going to stand for it.

Did you see the line after that saying "Everyone who knows those, um, security experts, is rolling on the floor right now."?
I'm no more 'leet than the next guy, but I suppose that trying to find out tips on how to be a hacker is kind of missing the point. As was demonstrated by the early hombrew hacker in the documentary tonight who described the "function-guilt" of club members whose love for computers had no obvious use.

Did anyone else in the UK watch ch4's History of Hacking tonight? Makes you proud to be a Mac user knowing your computer was designed by the "Greatest Hacker" ever Steve Wozniak..

Could they have picked a less flattering photo for the top of that Woz page?
